Bengal size
The Bengal is a medium to large, muscular cat. Males usually weigh 9–18 lb (4.1–8.2 kg) and females 6–12 lb (2.7–5.4 kg), and they can take about 2 years to reach full size. Enter your cat's weight to see how it compares.

You'll see where your cat sits in the usual Bengal range.
Breed ranges are a guide, not a target: a healthy body shape matters more than the number on the scale. Last reviewed October 9, 2026.
How big do Bengals get?
Breed registries and vet sources don't agree exactly, so here is what each one says about adult weight:
| Source | Males | Females |
|---|---|---|
| TICA | about 9–15 lb | about 6–12 lb |
| Purina | 10–18 lb | 6–12 lb |
| VCA | 6–12 lb (all adults) | 6–12 lb (all adults) |
Based on these figures, the size checker uses 9–18 lb (4.1–8.2 kg) for males and 6–12 lb (2.7–5.4 kg) for females. Ranges a source gives for all adults are shown for reference.
When do Bengals stop growing?
TICA says Bengals reach their full size by about 2 years, and VCA says they can take up to two years to reach physical maturity. Bengals keep filling out after their first birthday, so a 1-year-old can still be well below its adult weight.
There is no published month-by-month growth chart for Bengal kittens from a breed registry or vet source, so we don't print one. For the first months, compare your kitten with the kitten growth chart, and use the kitten feeding chart to see how much to feed.
