GANA sets size by height, because weight changes with condition. It gives only a minimum for Standards, so the top row uses PetMD's typical upper weight of about 90 lb. For the smaller sizes see the Mini Goldendoodle growth chart.

How big does a Goldendoodle get?

According to the breed standard of the Goldendoodle Association of North America (GANA), adults weigh: petite mini 25 lb or less; mini 26–35 lb; medium 36–50 lb; standard 51 lb and up. PetMD gives a life expectancy of 10–15 years.

When does a Goldendoodle stop growing?

How fast a Goldendoodle matures depends on its size, because smaller dogs finish growing sooner. Typical ages for reaching close to adult weight: Mini at around 13 months, Medium at around 13 months and Standard at around 15 months.

To estimate your own puppy's adult weight from its current weight and age, use the puppy weight calculator.

How the chart is made

The adult weights come from the GANA breed standard. The weight at each month is estimated with our size-class growth curves (a separate curve for each size), which gives the share of adult weight a typical puppy of that size reaches at each age. The curves are simplified from published research on dog growth, including the growth standard charts by Salt and colleagues (PLOS ONE, 2017).

If your puppy is well below or above the chart, stops gaining weight, or looks very thin or round, ask your vet to check its body condition.
