The AKC does not give a weight for the Cane Corso, only that it should be proportionate to height (males 25–27.5 in, females 23.5–26 in). This chart uses the weights in the FCI standard, which also says weight should match the dog's size.

Males use the giant-breed growth curve and females the large-breed curve, because the female range sits just under 100 lb.

How big does a Cane Corso get?

When does a Cane Corso stop growing?

How fast a Cane Corso matures depends on its size, because smaller dogs finish growing sooner. Typical ages for reaching close to adult weight: Male at around 18 months and Female at around 15 months.

How the chart is made

The adult weights come from the FCI breed standard for the Cane Corso Italiano. The weight at each month is estimated with our size-class growth curves (a separate curve for each size), which gives the share of adult weight a typical puppy of that size reaches at each age. The curves are simplified from published research on dog growth, including the growth standard charts by Salt and colleagues (PLOS ONE, 2017).

If your puppy is well below or above the chart, stops gaining weight, or looks very thin or round, ask your vet to check its body condition.
